PCC Meeting - March 2008

Highlights from the PCC meeting held on 13th March 2008

Signage for St Anne's
Slow progress but progress nonetheless.

Quinquennial
To be completed soon (new architect is Robert Kilgour, 4 Park Lane).

Lent
Generally positive feedback. Myers Briggs sessions: challenging and valuable.
Question: Good Friday walk: why shortened?
Answer: Meeting of relevant ministers felt that shorter walk would be more universally acceptable. However, open to review after relevant feedback.

Charity - for the collection box in St. Anne's
Box has been replaced and £110 has been raised for Leprosy Mission. After discussion, agreed that Bewdley Youth Cafe would be supported in coming year.

Fairtrade Communion wine
Agreed to purchase Fairtrade Communion wine in future.

Correspondence
via Susan Cashmore regarding St. Leonard's track reported to meeting. Worcestershire CC proposes improvements in 2008/2009 to drainage and kerbstones on Heightington Lane and Bypass that should reduce likelihood of flash flooding from those locations. Still no progress on improving surface of parking area.

Thanks were extended to retiring PCC members who step down after 3 years service. Deanery Synod representatives may be proposed for a further term.
Date of next meeting: PCC, 15th May, 7.30pm at Stan's Place.
