MUD Group - Walk 30th May 2009
9 miles walk around Shrawley.
Leader - Mark Moreton.
10 members partook.
Hot & Sunny was ordered and Hot & Sunny it was!
Firm instructions from Mark not to wear shorts proved to be the order of the day
due to the heavy jungle conditions (paths overgrown with nettles).
As Tony remarked we went through all types on this one :-
Jungle, Desert, France, Mud & Vines!
Lunch at Astley church in the shade, apart from Peter who is a sun worshipper...
Rob re-lived his youth launching himself from a tree swing!
Highlight of the walk for me was the light through the modern window in St Peter's
church at Astley - beautiful.
A pint was enjoyed by the river at the end of the walk.
