MUD Group - Walk 29th December 2009

Clent Hills.

Leader - Tony Redstall.

Robert wanted us to do something challenging in between Christmas and the New Year.
He suggested climbing Snowdon, to look at the four million pound cafe.
He overlooked the fact that the cafe and train service finish at the end of October, that the weather was so severe, and only experienced climbers could venture out that time of year.
So he settled for Dovedale instead. Many scoffed at the thought of two hours travel for just three hours walking, but we pressed ahead with the idea; until, that is, the heavy snow and ice warnings the days leading up to the great event.
The gods were against our huge carbon footprint as (a) Rob fell ill and (b) the weather forecast didn't look good.

So, on the day, our noble chairman decided on a six mile walk around the Clent Hills.
We negotiated Nimmings Wood Hill and Walton Hill, surrounded by awe inspiring scenery, and cheered by the pleasant company.

A good festive time was had by all.
