MUD Group - Walk 25th April 2009

10.8 miles walk around Brown Clee starting west of Cleobury North.

Leader - John Butler.

13 members partook.

With heavy rain at 7.30 it looked like it was going to be a long, wet walk but this is the
MUD group, so by the time we got to the start it had stopped raining and turned into
a hot and sunny day! (Mark Cherrington's shorts turned out to be the perfect attire!!).

This walk was a repeat of one held 10 years ago (which was a wet one).

As you can see from the photos, there was some stunning views. For me, Heath Chapel was another
highlight with its faded wall paintings and the ancient key kept behind the notice board.

Lunch was at Clee St Margaret sitting in the April sunshine; afterwards we walked up a very smelly
path or was it a drainage ditch? Then over open heath land to Brown Clee hill and back to the
start.

A stop on the way home at the Boyne Arms in Burwarton for the customary pint after a very
enjoyable walk.

Many thanks to Rob Limbrick for the photos.
