MUD Group - Notes from EGM October 2009
Tony R, Tony Owen, John Butler, Jim Hall, Russ and Peter Kirk met at the Pack Horse to discuss future events. (two forgot to turn up!)
Positives - this year the walks were local (eco friendly, and beat the credit crunch ?), novel (Mark's jungle walk), high turn out even at the busy times of the year (12 at some walks) and the excellent Family Walk (run by Lynne Fox)
Ideas to ponder; and volunteer to run.
Midsummer Dawn Patrol to the Stapeley Hill stone circle; something dynamic (at the end of December-start of the new year time) such as climbing Snowdon; a Pilgrimage (for the more
thoughtful
members) and something mad for the
Chairman's Challenge.
The Family Walk was such a success that three families have volunteered to run next year's (2010) event - the Smiths, Gillespies and the Youngs.
Please note that MUD walks are run on the first week of the month, this year.
